Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or just want an entertaining weekend away for the family, Wings 2017 Air Festival has so much to offer. In addition to the spectacular flying programme there are a fantastic ground displays and activities, as well as activities for small and big kids alike.
Internationally renowned and the largest air show in the North Island, Wings will bring over 70 different aircraft to Masterton for a weekend of on the ground and in the air entertainment. Held only every two years, this Wings will be bigger, brighter, bolder and noisier than any Wings before it with some exciting changes to the programme. We can’t wait to see what you think of the new show.

It wouldn't be Easter without an Easter egg hunt! Over the long Easter weekend you can visit Pukaha and see how many eggs you can spot around the forest, join in the fun at the Eggs, Eggs, Eggs discovery centre off the Kākā Cafe' with kids colouring pages, "guess who's egg" games and more fun activities! On Easter Sunday you have a chance to meet our mascot - Manukura and play the "Flukey Whio" game!
Pukaha Mount Bruce Wildlife Centre

Pukaha Mount Bruce is home to a Wildlife Centre where you can meet some of New Zealand's most endangered wildlife. Set in 942 hectares of ancient podocarp forest only 18 minutes from Masterton, Pukaha is home to many endangered species including tuatara, takahe, kokako, kaka and our national icon, the kiwi. It is also home to the Manukura, the little white kiwi.
Wairarapa Balloon Festival

The Wairarapa Balloon Festival is an annual event held in the Wairarapa region. The festival features a week of balloon lift-offs and loads of family-fun and entertainment at various venues throughout the region. This is the must-see family fun event of the year - a festival for kids of all ages.
